On July 3, 1971, Pam awoke to find Morrison dead in the bathtub of their apartment in Paris. As she was named Jim's heir in his will, she was to inherit his entire fortune. Challenges to the will would continue for a few years. Pam overdosed on heroin here on April 25, 1974, she died at 27 years old, the same age that Jim and so many others died.
